The Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, signed into law on March 27, 2020, provided an unprecedented $2 trillion to address the economic needs of Americans hard hit by the global pandemic. This Act was an important first step in addressing the urgent dire needs across the county, but we believe they did not go far enough.
